NEWS (21/2/07): Damn, I can't believe I've neglected my favourite actor for so long. Sorry! But I just added a page of video clips from YouTube for everyone to admire. And I've added a recent updateto Russell Fletcher's superb homage to Danny that I saw at the Fringe Festival - see the left menu, playing in 2007!

NEWS (13/10/05): Just posted my review of the 'A Tribute to Danny Kaye' show held as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival, which I attended last week. Utterly fantastic stuff!

NEWS (22/08/05): Damn, I've been very bad about updating my site. Terribly sorry, I keep meaning to and suddenly 6 months goes by....erk! Meanwhile, if you're in Melbourne in September or October, check out a wonderful new show all about Danny, performed by Russell Fletcher as part of the 2005 Fringe Festival. Click on the link on the left for more info. And I promise I'll be back soon, am thinking of overhauling the look and feel of the whole site. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. And sadly, Barbra Bel Geddes has passed - she starred in 'The Five Pennies' with Danny, and I very sadly must mention Virginia Mayo passing - another fav of mine, a wonderful comedic actress that featured in so many of Danny's films.

NEWS (21/04/04): Sorry for the delay between updates! You have no idea how busy I have been with personal issues :( Just a little update; new link to Israel's national photo archive - you can search for photos of Danny's visits to Israel!

NEWS (19/10/03): It's taken me about 4 hours but I have just uploaded 129 photos of Danny's appearance on The Muppet Show, I think my eyes have crossed from creating all those screendumps, then attempting to stick them in some kind of order. (I used four different programs to make all the screendumps.) Check them out in the PHOTOS section. And if you see them anywhere else, remember you saw them here first - coz I made 'em! Phew! Enjoy :) I love the Muppets, I have a Muppets website too.

NEWS (2/10/03): The magazine turned up today, I've just transcribed it and added it to the site. Go read it!

NEWS (28/9/03): Just sorted thru some photos, and added some to the site. There are now 1,000 photos online! And I have another 400 plus to sort thru! Whooah! Bet you never thought there were that many Danny shots around. :) Well, some are doubles, forgive me for that, but it takes too long to sort them all out to that level.

NEWS (27/9/03): Sorry it's been a while, I've spent the past month working on another of my sites creating a whole new look, and the rest of my sites got neglected. However, I've finished that, so here goes some new Danny stuff! I've just added a speech by Ronald Reagan from 1984, honoring Kennedy Centre Honorees, including the wonderful Danny Kaye. And articles about the background of the films 'Secret Life of Walter Mitty' & 'Hans Christian Anderson', plus the stage production in which Danny starred, 'Two by Two'. I've also bought a copy of a US magazine, Town & Country, which had an interview with Dena Kaye, Danny's daughter, in the August 2003 issue. Once it arrives here in Melbourne, I'll transcribe it and add it to the site for everyone who couldn't get a copy. Next up - more photos.

NEWS (23/8/03): Added another link to a source for an out of print book about Danny to the Book page.

NEWS (23/8/03): Sorry about the delay in updates, I've been in the throes of a divorce - which is final on September 8th, plus starting a new job and getting all my finances back on track in order to apply for a home loan soon. Ai carumba! Anyway, just a couple new bits on the site: the infamous Vessel with the Pestle segment of dialogue from The Court Jester, and an article on The Danny Kaye Show. I've got more photos to add, I'll try getting to those over the weekend. I've also recently received Jester on DVD, so I guess that will be the next movie review once I get the time to sit down and watch and make notes. So, there you go, I haven't forgotten Danny - no way! - I'm just a little flooded. Plus I run several other sites, only so much time in the day for it all.

NEWS (5/7/03): Not only am I putting the site on a lot of celebrity sites, in order to get the word out to more Danny fans out there, but I've also enabled a search function so you can now search the whole site. Plus I've added to the links page, I found a site with two episodes of The Danny Kaye Show in MP3 format, which I added to my Links page. Please vote for the site using the buttons on the front page, so that more people will know about the site. See you on the Message Board!

NEWS (2/7/03): Inserted a remembrance page for Katharine Hepburn, who starred in 'Madwoman of Chaillot' with Danny. One of my favourite actors, I'll miss her deeply.

NEWS (27/5/03): I'm hunting down White Christmas dolls, and came across Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby dolls, just had to add them. They're animated and sing! Hi there to all the new visitors, glad to be getting your feedback!

NEWS (25/5/03): Just added the original short story 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty'.

NEWS (24/5/03): Very exciting news - my site finally has its own domain (www.myDannyKaye.com) and home! No more popups on the main site, however the pop ups will remain on the photos as they are still living at the old home (dannykaye.fcpages.com) purely as they take up over 40 meg of space, which I just don't have with the full domain. The kind people at fcpages.com hosting the site there obviously need to get an income for their service, as do those who provide the Message Board, and have chosen to do so using the popups - I have NO control over that, I am just grateful that they supply these services for free. Plus it would cost me a fortune in bandwidth and space to have the 40 meg on my site, with everyone downloading photos, so to ensure the only cost is the annual hosting and domain fees, the photos will stay where they are! :) Update your bookmarks to the new address, and keep coming back as I have lots of new stuff to add! I have already added some more Danny sounds, videos & DVDs, and fixed the links to the downloads of the theme, movie and screensaver!

NEWS (7/1/03): Just added a couple more pages of photos (up to 47 pages now). I still have a few hundred more to add to the site, and I'm always on the look out for more Danny photos, so if you have any please let me know. Happy New Year!
